Before & Afters

Breezy Joy

This charming home design takes full advantage of the incredible views surrounding the house. Tall windows and sliding doors bring in a lot of natural light making the interior of the house shine against the lush greenery of the background. White surfaces with classical elements present in the detailed wainscoting and crown molding unify the living/dining/kitchen spaces and create a backdrop to vibrant, multi-hued furnishings. The dark stained oak floor throughout the house grounds the white casework and warms up the spaces for a cozy setting. Clean simplified lines in the staircase area are warmed up with wood treads and handrail.

Craftsman Retreat

The design was inspired by mostly old Craftsmen architectural exterior and interior detailing. A challenge with this project was to infuse some traditional and modern touches according to the client’s style. By downplaying the paint sheen on the cabinets it highlighted the quarter sawn oak floors and the traditional and modern merged to soothe the client’s aspiration. Sun tunnels were placed in the core of the home to introduce natural light into the rooms. A two-sided fireplace was installed to create a flow between the house and the generous back patio which leads to the sanctuary-like space of the backyard. Tray and vaulted ceilings were installed to give the space more of a grander presence.

California Heaven

This lovely house is reminiscent of the California Bungalow style with its low pitched roofs and eaves and unenclosed rafters and the dormer windows over the main portion of the house. Shingle siding add distinct character to this home style and requires less maintenance. Cool green tones of the shingles are well balanced with warmer beige stucco and together create a gentle background for white wood work. Stone veneer adds an organic look and its textured surface creates contrast to the stucco. The whole structure smoothly merges into the prairie looking yard and emphasizes the relationship between the home and its surrounding.

Grand Simplicity

Our design aim was to create an open-concept, gourmet kitchen with plenty of light. Large windows by the range and the sink brought in substantial natural light. Light cabinets coupled with the stunning marble helped add to the openness of the space, while the dark countertops, flooring, and island brought a comforting warmth to the kitchen, adding to the classic timeless aesthetic.
